A Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Ca.
I was invited to share my book with 100 first graders at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. The kids asked a lot of great questions and learned what it was like being out on a container ship. I want to thank everyone at the Aquarium of the Pacific, The Matson Foundation and Arnica Foundation for sponsoring a wonderful experience for the kids. I hope to do it again soon!!!!

I had the distinct pleasure of visiting many schools this year and reading to students. I have had some great responses, and wonderful questions from all the students. I look forward to mingling with more young readers and writers. This is what it is all about!!
